Key takeaways
  • Two Oct 6 crashes show new ways to link wallets: 7-signer sweeps and proceeds sent straight back to a hub
  • A pump.fun "graduation" now usually means an instant bundle, and fresh PumpSwap pools usually collapse within about 8 minutes

Two Oct 6 crashes show new ways to link wallets: 7-signer sweeps and proceeds sent straight back to a hubevidence: C/B, on-chain timelines with tx links

  • $MEMEAGENCY (6 Oct). It fell from about $10M to about $129K. The hub wallet that funded the creator one second before launch also collects the creator fees. For each big sell, the hub sent the seller about 0.01 SOL for gas one second before, tokens were moved into the seller seconds before, and the seller forwarded the SOL to the hub within 3 s. That added up to 406 SOL from two sellers, then four more sellers did the same thing.

A pump.fun "graduation" now usually means an instant bundle, and fresh PumpSwap pools usually collapse within about 8 minutesevidence: C, one vendor's own capture, method stated

  • Graduations. From Sep 30 to Oct 6 there were 351,340 launches and 6,401 true graduations (1.82%). 57.8% were instant bundles, meaning created, filled and migrated within 2 s, so nobody outside the bundle could trade. The organic graduation rate was 0.77%. The instant share rose from about 35–49% (Sep 25–27) to 54–62% (Oct 1–6). In the 24 h to Oct 7 at 10:19 AM CT it was 61.0%.
  • After graduation. Of the 6,555 PumpSwap pools that opened with 50 SOL or more in the same 7 days, 62.9% lost 90% of their opening price inside 30 min, with a median of 8.0 min after open. Daily figures for Oct 1–6 were 59–64%.

Platform watch: nothing breaks this week

  • 200 ms slots. SIMD-0525 (200 ms slots) is a separate feature from Alpenglow. It is already active on testnet (epoch 1006) and devnet (1128) and is pending on mainnet. The Agave v4.4 plan: mainnet upgrade candidate Oct 16, stake rollout Oct 19 to Nov 2, mainnet feature activations resume Nov 9.
  • pump.fun. The developer channel has nothing new since the negative-virtual-reserves note:
